Position Description:
We are expanding our mobile software development activities in Copenhagen and are currently looking for 6 new colleagues. The positions are located within our Series 40 software platform for mobile phones, a global organisation within Nokia with 135 people based in the Copenhagen site. Our backgrounds cover a wide field but we are all good at consulting, defining and closing tasks. We are dedicated to developing world-class User Interface application software for mobile phones.
As UI designer your main tasks are to:
- specify new features and user functions for our future mobile phones,
- develop and maintain UI specifications and participate actively in reviews of specifications in other projects,
- plan and prioritise your own work according to the overall project goals.
As a team player you work closely together with other UI designers, developers and testers within R&D to specify SW solutions with world-class usability. You also have cooperation with our global consumer insights and marketing organisations.
Requirements:
We are seeking both newly graduated and more experienced colleagues. Either way, you have either a B.Sc. or M.Sc. from a relevant field of study (ie. IT, humanities or engineering). Your studies have focused on User Centered Design and if you have working experience, you have probably been working with UI within product development.
Furthermore, you:
- are interested in technical design, user-friendliness and telecommunications-technology
- have knowledge of or experience with technical writing
- have documented knowledge of software development
- are able to analyse technical problems and communicate solutions in a clear way- possess the necessary clout to see through your tasks and ideas
- thrive in a busy working environment, with tight deadlines
- are proactive and eager to see results.
- have good networking skills
- are proficient in English
Business Unit Description:
The Copenhagen site is one of Nokias largest R&D sites globally.
