Job Description:
Yahoo! Inc. is looking for an Interaction Designer to join the User Experience & Design (UED) team within the Yahoo! Mobile group. In this position you are expected to foster and support a collaborative, innovative culture, working closely with visual designers, user experience researchers, product managers and technologists to define the user experience, spearhead a user centered design process and develop usable, useful and compelling mobile applications.
The opportunity is to define and develop a growing suite of Yahoo! Mobile products on a wide variety of mobile devices, technical platforms and carrier networks. You will get involved in a variety of SMS, MMS, WAP, XHTML, J2ME, BREW and client/server product design that will require significant technical understanding. As the a critical UED team member you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining product UI for mobile applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify UI requirements, help define project approach and the user experience strategy
- Set conceptual design and suggest product direction based on field research and functional requirements
- Create the user interaction model, workflows, information architecture, schematics, prototypes and interface guidelines
- Work with user experience researchers to design and observe usability studies and translates the findings into design improvements
- Work with visual designers to refine the interactive experience and retain the user focus
- Work hand in hand with engineers to deliver the final product
- Facilitate project communication and asset exchange across a multidisciplinary team throughout all phases of the project
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor?s or Master's degree in Human Factors, HCI, industrial design or related area
- Ideally 3+ years experience as a key member of a UI team participating in the complete product development cycle of several successfully launched mobile device software application products
- This position requires time-management, multi-tasking, strong communication skills and the ability to prioritize quickly
- Able to develop new approaches to complex design problems and can convey ideas into tangible form
- Must communicate clearly and effectively; strong analytical and oral communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills; a self starter that is able to collaborate actively with others in a cross-functional team environment
- Organized and able to act independently
- Works well under pressure and able to meet aggressive deadlines
- Able to switch rapidly between different projects in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with mobile technologies such as WAP, BREW, J2ME, SMS and general client/server technologies and networking strongly encouraged
- Passion for developing innovative interfaces for the mobile space

Hej Johanna
Tack för tipset. Det finns dock många jobb i U.S.A (sök på google...) men om man inte har direkt kontakt med företaget är det svårt att få ett green card. Min fråga är därför om du har direkt kontakt? Kanske finns det någon annan som har ett tips på hur man kan ta sig till "det förlovade landet"?
